This is one of the hardest MLOs to complete in my opinion. Doing research and our own methodology is always something that is going to be relatively tricky as there is so many different kinds. Most of these classes that revolves around these topics involved either our capstone or study abroad. I did not do city broad, and I will not do study abroad Wallas student here, but I am currently doing my capstone; which is linked above. All of the courses listed above gave us the opportunity to learn how to use new technology, which would aid us in our research along with helping us come up with ideas of what our research should be. For example, in WLC 400 we were introduced to how to utilize the library resources more, a program called Zotero, and how to cite in APA format. One of the major challenges of completing this MLO, though, is that it is extremely tedious. Doing research, and making sure everything is factual, completed, and can be used in the relevant terms we need, has been not only time consuming, but extremely frustrating. It is also very hard to create sentences which would translate both to Japanese and English, almost exactly the same with the same exact context between the two. Although I do believe I have, since become much better at completing the research and technology aspects, which were aforementioned, I do not know if I wish to continue to develop them. I personally do not find much joy in a higher levels of education. However, I do understand that being able to do research, data analysis, and know how to use technology correctly, and to the best of my ability, is very important for my future in the workforce. I do believe my own personal intellect has grown, although by taking these courses, as I have become better at problem-solving, linguistic ability, and professionalism. I also believe that I am now able to think on a more scholarly level, which was not the case before.
