Work Example
JAPN 404 is a class that mainly focuses on helping us learn Japanese, even more, through the usage of grammar and vocabulary, and also helping us learn how to orally present in conjunction with our WLC 400 class. We also learn how to write in APA style format in which we will need to know in order to use use for our research and papers. This class is essentially to be enrolled in at the same time as WLC 400 as they classes go hand in hand with their lessons and their schedules. JAPN 404 easily helps fulfill the MLO 1 requirements for language and communication, as the whole entire class revolves around the usage of Japanese language, being taught in Japanese, and how we communicate it outwardly. Although I have noticed, that this class does focus more on the linguistical aspect, rather than on the presentational aspect. However, I greatly appreciate this as sometimes I do need a refresher on my grammar and sentence structure, which I had not been reminded of how to formally use in recent times. We are also held to the standard of being able to communicate, write, and understand at an intermediate high-level, which is required of us in order to fulfill MLO 1.
WLC 400 - WLC Major Capstone
Students work with the instructor and WLC faculty advisors to research, synthesize, write and present their Capstone projects. Students will also complete a Graduation ePortfolio reflecting how each MLO was met. This course is required for all Japanese Language and Culture, and Spanish Language and Hispanic Cultures majors.

Work Example
WLC 400 is our major capstone class. This class involves the students being able to, in both Japanese and English, conduct their own research, do data analysis, and be able to present and right, add an intermediate high level of proficiency in both aforementioned languages. This class requires us to use all of the information and skills given to us by our previous classes in the past and to compile that all together in order to make a coherent and good final project before we graduate. All of the classes, rather intense, as it does ask for a lot in a relatively short amount of time, it helps for us to understand and be prepared for the workforce so we must continuously meet deadlines and complete work at the best of our ability. In addition, we are also told to work in groups, which helps us to be able to have more patience and compassion towards other people. This also does help us for future work, as you will not always be working alone at jobs. This class is he taking very seriously as not only does it dictate whether or not he will graduate on time, but it also is to provide you with key lessons and tips on how to succeed.
